Greater Accra Regional Police Command has apprehended 37-year-old Nana Anderson, also known by aliases such as Anderson Nana Abeka, Essel Kofi Elvis, and Willson Kojo Bismark, for his alleged role in a widespread vehicle theft and rental fraud operation across Ghana.

Anderson was arrested on April 5, 2025, at a hideout in Atasemanso, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Investigations indicate that on March 25, 2025, he used a forged ECOWAS identity and driver’s license cards to fraudulently rent a Hyundai Elantra (registration number GT 114-25) from a car rental partner in Community 25.
He subsequently failed to return the vehicle and disabled its tracking system.
Further inquiries revealed Anderson’s involvement in a syndicate responsible for stealing multiple vehicles between January and March 2025, including a Kia Forte in Hatso, a Honda Civic in Amasaman, and a Kia Ultima in Spintex. He reportedly received GH₵4,000 for each stolen vehicle.
Upon arrest, Anderson admitted to the offenses and led police to a location in Millennium City, believed to be the residence of an accomplice, Gideon Baah, who remains at large.
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend Baah, also known as Nana.
The accused has been arraigned before the court as investigations continue.
