The Parliamentary Select Committee on Health will embark on a four-day working tour of Regional and Teaching Hospitals from Tuesday, April 22, to Friday, April 25, 2025.

The nationwide tour aims to provide members of the Committee with first-hand insight into the operations, infrastructure, and challenges faced by key healthcare institutions.
The visits are part of efforts to inform policy decisions and craft sustainable strategies to enhance Ghana’s healthcare system.
In a statement issued, the exercise will be carried out in three teams, each tasked with assessing hospitals in various zones:
- Team One will visit the Bolgatanga and Nalerigu Regional Hospitals, Tamale Teaching and Regional Hospitals, and the Wa Regional Hospital.
- Team Two will tour the Damongo, Techiman, Sunyani, and Goaso Regional Hospitals.
- Team Three is scheduled to inspect facilities at the Kumasi Regional Hospital, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Koforidua and Ho Regional Hospitals, Ho Teaching Hospital, and the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.
The Committee is expected to engage with health professionals, inspect critical infrastructure, and listen to concerns from frontline workers. These interactions, the statement noted, will be essential to shaping reforms that ensure efficient and accessible healthcare for all Ghanaians.
Stakeholders are encouraged to actively participate in the engagements and share insights that could help shape healthcare policy reforms.
