A first-year student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has reportedly taken his own life after allegedly discovering his partner in an intimate encounter with another person.
The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, April 16, at the university’s GUSSS Hall Two, where the student is said to have found his girlfriend with another individual.
According to eyewitnesses, the emotional shock caused the young man to collapse at the scene.
Later that day, he was reportedly found dead, having allegedly hanged himself. The motive is suspected to be linked to the earlier incident.
The body has since been taken into the custody of the Winneba Police for further investigation.
University authorities are yet to officially comment on the incident.
