A poll by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that 66% of New Patriotic Party (NPP) voters believe the ongoing court case involving Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas will not affect his chances in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries.

Only 16% think the case could affect his bid, while 18% remain undecided.
The findings follow ongoing public discussions about the implications of the defamation suit, which was dismissed by a U.S. court earlier this year. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, known for his bold and often controversial statements, has since used the court’s ruling to bolster his political credibility, especially among party loyalists.
Overall, when all voters across political affiliations were sampled, 52% said the case would not impact his political fortunes, while 27% believed it could. Twenty-one percent had no opinion.
The poll highlights growing support within the NPP base for the outspoken politician, who is considered one of the leading contenders in the race to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
