The Executive Presbytery of Assemblies of God, Ghana, has concluded a four-day meeting in Takoradi aimed at strengthening church growth and preparing for major upcoming events.

Chaired by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, the meeting brought together top church leaders and the wives of the Executive Presbytery, who also form the National Executive Committee of the Ministers’ Wives Association (MWA). The MWA is led by Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, wife of the General Superintendent.

Each day of the gathering was marked by intensive prayer sessions lasting between three and five hours. Following the prayers, the Ministers’ Wives Association held separate sessions to deliberate on issues affecting their operations and support systems across the country.

The Executive Presbytery reviewed reports from various regions, departments, and agencies of the church. A key highlight of the discussions was the upcoming World Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, which is scheduled to be held in Accra in October 2026.

Also on the agenda were strategies for spiritual renewal, membership growth, and leadership development across the church’s branches nationwide.

Rev. Wengam encouraged members of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, to commit wholeheartedly to the church’s 2025 theme: “Pray Without Ceasing For Supernatural Manifestations.”
He emphasized, “God’s ability to achieve greater works in the church depends on our commitment to prayer.”

The meeting reaffirmed the church’s commitment to spiritual empowerment and organizational excellence in the lead-up to the 2026 global event.
