Online Times Ghana has officially issued a formal apology to Deputy Chief of Staff, Stan Xoese Dogbe, over a recent publication that sparked public reaction and concern, in connection with civil society engagement at the Presidency.

The story, published on May 27, 2025, and titled “Adam-GH Accuses Dr. Valerie Sawyer of Undermining CSO Engagement with Presidency,” drew public reaction after Mr. Dogbe’s name was referenced in a context that the platform acknowledges may have caused reputational harm or misperception.

In a statement, Online Times Ghana expressed regret for the reference and clarified its stance.

“We deeply regret the inclusion of Mr. Dogbe’s name in that context and wish to clarify that the views expressed in the article do not reflect the position or endorsement of Online Times Ghana.”

The media outlet emphasized that while the report was based on third-party commentary, it bears full responsibility for the content it publishes.

As part of its commitment to ethical journalism, Online Times Ghana is reviewing its editorial processes to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

“We sincerely apologise for any unintended damage this article may have caused to Mr. Dogbe’s reputation and reaffirm our commitment to responsible journalism,” the statement concluded.

Online Times Ghana further noted its appreciation for public feedback and reiterated its dedication to upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
