
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the online portal used for processing non-chip passport applications before April 28, 2025, is no longer in service.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public particularly passport applicants who made payment for the processing of their passport before the introduction of the chip-embedded passports on 28th April, 2025 but have not completed the application process that, the portal which was created to host the old passport applications before the migration to chip-embedded passport is currently out of use.”
Affected applicants who paid for passport processing before the switch to the new chip-embedded passports but have not completed their applications are advised to contact the Passport Office Client Service Unit via 0302 754 200 for assistance.
The Ministry emphasized that the official portal for all current passport applications is passport.mfa.gov.gh and called on the public to cooperate in resolving outstanding cases.
