The Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect.

Mr. Gyamfi’s transfer comes just seven months after his appointment in January 2025 and has stirred debate within public service circles over the abrupt nature of the move.
Although the Presidency has not provided an official explanation, sources at the Jubilee House indicate the reassignment is part of a broader reshuffle aimed at strengthening the government’s economic management team.
Media reports, however, suggest that delays in the posting of new national service personnel may have influenced the decision, following an audit of the Authority’s online deployment system.
Reports further point to a policy disagreement between Mr. Gyamfi and his supervising Minister, George Opare Addo. While the Minister for Youth Development is said to favour the creation of a new deployment portal to eliminate systemic gaps, Mr. Gyamfi maintained that the existing system could be improved rather than scrapped.
