The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has confirmed a temporary disruption affecting some electronic hospital management systems across the country.

In a statement issued on Monday, October 6, 2025, the Authority urged all NHIA-credentialed healthcare providers to continue delivering uninterrupted services to National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) members despite the technical challenge.

“Providers are advised to use the alternative mobile phone-based platform to generate Claims Check Codes (CCC) to ensure the smooth continuation of care and service delivery,” the statement said.

The NHIA emphasized that no NHIS member should be subjected to financial burdens or out-of-pocket payments as a result of the temporary disruption.

It also assured that the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, is working swiftly to restore full system functionality.

“The NHIA sincerely appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of healthcare providers and NHIS members,” the Authority added.

Members facing challenges are encouraged to contact the NHIA Call Centre at 054-444-6447 for assistance.
