The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that it will conduct a Land Combat Fire Power Demonstration Exercise at the Bundase Training Camp on Friday, October 31, 2025, as part of efforts to test its operational readiness in defending the country against external aggression.

In a public announcement issued and signed by Captain (GN) VA Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations, the Armed Forces cautioned the general public, especially residents of Dawhenya and surrounding communities, to stay clear of the training area during the period of the exercise.

“The Exercise aims at testing the operational readiness of the Armed Forces in defending the country against external aggression,” the statement noted.

According to the Ghana Armed Forces, the exercise will involve the use of live ammunition, explosives, and heavy military equipment, which will generate loud sounds and visible flashes. Residents are therefore advised not to be alarmed by any troop movements, military vehicles, or explosions that may be heard or seen in the area.

“The public is therefore advised to stay away from the training area and its surroundings during this period,” the statement emphasized.

The GAF further assured that all necessary safety measures have been implemented to guarantee the security of both residents and military personnel involved in the operation.

“The Armed Forces count on the cooperation of the general public during this exercise,” Captain Arhin added.
