 
                The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported 9 new Mpox infections, bringing the total confirmed cases to 744 as of October 20, 2025.

In its latest situation update, the Service noted that no new deaths were recorded, with the national death toll still standing at three (3). There are no patients on admission.
Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, is primarily transmitted through close contact with infected individuals. The GHS has urged the public to continue observing preventive measures, including avoiding direct contact with persons exhibiting symptoms such as skin rashes or fever.
Ghana Health Service is encouraging anyone who experiences Mpox-related symptoms to seek immediate medical attention.
The Ghana Health Service assured that it remains committed to strengthening active surveillance and public health interventions to contain the disease and protect communities nationwide.
