Courage Nobi, a former key member of the Movement for Change, now the United Party, has officially announced his decision to step away from partisan politics, citing a renewed sense of purpose centered on faith, integrity, and patriotism.

In a statement dated November 3, 2025, Mr. Nobi explained that his decision follows a period of reflection and a new direction for my life’s purpose and for Ghana, rooted in my unwavering commitment to faith, integrity, and patriotism.
He clarified that since the conclusion of the 2024 General Elections, he has respectfully stepped away from the politics of the Movement for Change, now United Party, adding that he has personally communicated his decision to the party’s founder, Hon. Alan Kyerematen.
“I have since personally communicated my decision to Hon. Alan Kyerematen and wish to state clearly and without ambiguity that I am not a member of the United Party,” he emphasized.
Mr. Nobi, who served in several key roles under Alan Kyerematen, including as Director of Communications for the Youth Caucus during Kyerematen’s NPP flagbearer campaign, and later as Deputy Director of Communications and Deputy Director for Policy in the Movement for Change, expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to work under his leadership.
“I remain eternally grateful for the opportunity to have served under the brilliant leadership of Hon. Alan Kyerematen, championing his vision and cause,” he stated.
He further added by describing Alan Kyerematen as a leader and mentor, and a statesman whom he deeply respects.
“This was due to my commitment to him as a leader and mentor and still as a statesman whom I deeply respect.”
Mr. Nobi extended his best wishes to the leadership and members of the United Party in their new direction, while reaffirming his continued dedication to national development and public service outside partisan lines.
“With my unwavering patriotism and belief that Ghana can work, I remain avidly involved in the building of our nation through offering governance solutions, promoting and upholding ethical leadership, and presenting dissenting views to enhance good governance,” he affirmed.
Mr. Nobi pledged to continue contributing to public discourse and supporting initiatives that promote ethical leadership and nation-building.
