Benjamin Anyagre Aziginaateeg, Executive Director of the Afrikan Continental Union Consult (ACUC), has praised Ghana’s ₵10 million humanitarian support to disaster-stricken regions across the world, describing it as “a shining symbol of Pan-Afrikan compassion and unity.”

According to him, the gesture by President John Dramani Mahama and the people of Ghana, in aid of victims of Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean and ongoing civil unrest in Sudan, demonstrates the enduring values of solidarity and shared humanity that define Ghana’s global leadership.

“The Black Star still shines,” Mr. Anyagre declared, adding that the donation reaffirms Ghana’s commitment to the ideals of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the principles of Ubuntu.

“This act of compassion proves that our shared humanity remains our greatest strength,” he said.

He further commended President Mahama’s decisive humanitarian leadership, noting that it rekindles the Non-Aligned spirit of South–South cooperation and underscores Ghana’s position as a beacon of hope on the African continent and beyond.
