The Chief Executive Officer of the AfriKan Continental Union Consult (ACUC), Dr. Benjamin Anyagre Aziginaateeg, has called on Africans to resist foreign control and uphold Pan-African unity.

Speaking at the Marcus Mosiah Garvey Awards Night held at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra, Anyagre said Africa’s future must be shaped by its own people and not external powers.
“The Organization of Afrikan Unity, now the Afrikan Union, is not for sale. The Afrikan Continental Free Trade Area is not for sale. These institutions exist first and foremost for Afrikans,” he stated.
He described the Sahel region as the new center of African resistance, commending Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traoré for what he called purposeful leadership that puts citizens first.
Anyagre also cautioned against betrayal from within, linking the assassinations of leaders such as Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, and Amílcar Cabral to both foreign interference and internal collaborators.
“The enemies within are more dangerous than those without,” he said.
He urged the African Union to focus on homegrown solutions and called for renewed commitment to Agenda 2063, emphasizing that Africa’s resources and future must remain under African control.
The event, held in honor of Marcus Mosiah Garvey, brought together Pan-Africanists and dignitaries to celebrate his legacy and reaffirm the call for a united and independent Africa.
