‘Agyapadie’ Document Outlines Akufo-Addo’s State Capture Plan – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has reignited controversy surrounding the disputed ‘Agyapadie’ document. Speaking at a durbar in the Upper East Region, Mahama alleged that the document serves as a blueprint for state capture by the current administration.

The ‘Agyapadie’ document, which reportedly details plans by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to seize state assets, has been dismissed by President Akufo-Addo as a fabrication. However, Mahama insists on its authenticity and relevance.

During his address, Mahama stated, “We need to hold this government accountable for the hardship, the crisis that they subjected Ghana to, for the state capture that they have implemented in Ghana over the last eight years. Buying every state property, buying all the government lands, and amassing wealth for themselves.”

Addressing the controversy directly, he added, “Recently, there was an issue about a document called Agyapadie. They said it was fabricated. But even if it is fabricated, the implementation is not fabricated because everything that is written in that document has been implemented.”

Mahama further emphasized his point, saying, “So if really somebody sat and fabricated that document, then the person can read the minds of people. Because how they could have written that document and read the minds of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his family, that person is a proper creative writer. Because everything in that document has been implemented. And so the implementation cannot be fabricated.”
