The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), has arrived in South Africa to participate in the 2026 African Mining Indaba, Africa’s largest mining investment and policy forum.

The conference, which brings together governments, global mining companies, investors, and regulators, aims to attract capital, shape policy, and promote responsible, sustainable mineral development across the continent. Ghana’s participation forms part of efforts to position the country as a competitive and attractive destination for mining investment.
Leading Ghana’s delegation, Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah is expected to engage in a series of high-level dialogues and strategic meetings while contributing to discussions on key challenges facing the mining sector.
A major highlight of Ghana’s engagement will be the “Ghana Day” event, scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at which the minister will headline the deliberations.
As Africa’s leading gold producer, Ghana will use the platform to showcase its business potential and deepen investor interest in the extractive sector.
The Ministry says Ghana’s presence at the Indaba reflects President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of strengthening the mining industry through expanded global partnerships and targeted strategic investments.
