The Energy Commission has appointed Adwoa Serwa Bondzie as its new Acting Executive Secretary, succeeding Ing. Mrs. Eunice Biritwum.

Adwoa Serwa Bondzie brings over 15 years of experience in business development, strategic management, and energy transition, and is widely recognized for driving innovation and sustainability across the sector.
The Commission urged stakeholders to extend their full support and courtesy to the new Acting Executive Secretary to ensure a successful tenure.
Her notable achievements include pioneering the first Trading Desk at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), designing a fuel-trading system that generated $20 million in profit within two years, and establishing operational benchmarks for efficiency. She also led the expansion of Ghana’s strategic petroleum reserves from 4 to 12 weeks between 2014 and 2016, strengthening national energy security and earning the BOST Leadership & Dedication Award in 2015.
Speaking on her vision, Ms. Bondzie said her leadership would focus on aligning corporate strategy with national development goals while promoting sustainable energy solutions. She has a strong record of mentoring young professionals and advocating for women’s advancement in technology and energy.
Academically, she holds an MSc in Public Policy from the University of Bath, an MBA in International Business and Strategy from Henley Business School, a BSc in Information and Communication Technology from GIMPA, and a Graduate Diploma in Project Management from Algonquin College.
With this appointment, the Energy Commission seeks to continue its mission of driving innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value in Ghana’s energy sector.
