Ghana Embassy warns nationals in Doha to remain indoors

The Embassy of Ghana in Doha has issued an urgent security advisory to all Ghanaians living in Qatar, urging them to take immediate shelter following heightened tensions in the region and reports of a missile attack impacting parts of the Qatari capital.

In a notice dated February 28, 2026, the Embassy called on Ghanaian nationals to “take shelter until further notice” and rely only on official sources for credible information.

“Due to missile attack and its impact in Doha, please take shelter until further notice,” the statement said.

The Embassy further advised citizens to remain indoors, avoid crowded places, and steer clear of military sites to minimise any potential danger. Ghanaians were also encouraged to keep essential supplies, including medication and food, readily available.

“We urge everyone to stay away from military sites, remain indoors, avoid crowded areas for any exposure to danger, and keep essential supplies like medication and food,” the statement added.

The Embassy provided emergency contact lines for distressed nationals: +974 44 36 44 86 and +974 70 13 62 81. Citizens may also reach the mission via email at doha@mfa.gov.gh or visit its offices at Zone 66, Street 576, Building 7, Al-Dafina, Doha.

The advisory remains in force until further notice as authorities monitor developments in the region.
