GHS reports 12 new Mpox cases, total infections reach 980

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 12 new cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total number of infections to 980.

In its latest situation report, GHS noted that no new deaths have been recorded, with the national death toll remaining at seven. Currently, only one patient is on admission.

Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, is primarily spread through close contact with infected individuals. The Service continues to urge the public to adhere strictly to preventive measures, including avoiding direct contact with anyone showing symptoms such as skin rashes or fever.

The Ghana Health Service also encourages anyone experiencing Mpox-related symptoms to seek medical attention immediately.
