Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu-Bempah, has dismissed as false and misleading a publication circulating on social media and some online platforms that attributes derogatory comments about Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to him.

In an official statement, Owusu-Bempah described the report as entirely false, malicious, and misleading, stressing that he has never made any public statement attacking or criticising the former presidential aspirant, either before or after the NPP’s recent presidential primaries.
“I wish to state categorically and without any ambiguity that the said publication is entirely false, malicious, and misleading. At no point have I made any public statement attacking or criticizing Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, whether before or after the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Primaries.”
He said the publication was the work of unscrupulous and faceless individuals seeking to sow division and undermine party unity.
“This fabrication is clearly the handiwork of some unscrupulous and faceless individuals with a deliberate agenda to sow seeds of discord,” he stated.
He further added that the attempt to damage the long-standing friendship and mutual respect between himself and Hon. Kennedy Agyapong was irresponsible and harmful to party cohesion, urging the public to treat any claims suggesting otherwise with “the highest contempt it deserves.”
He called on party supporters and the general public to disregard the publication and remain vigilant against misinformation, while appealing for unity as the NPP moves forward after its internal contest.
