Traders at Kantamanto in Accra have expressed their appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for the improved security at their market, attributing it to new security measures implemented by the Inspector-General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare.

The leadership of the Kantamanto Used Clothing Sellers Association commended the police for the noticeable reduction in theft and other associated crimes since the introduction of the enhanced security arrangements.
Chairman of the Kantamanto Used Cloth Sellers Association, Michael Oppong, conveyed their gratitude to the IGP during his visit to the market to gather feedback on the security measures implemented. Oppong stated, “You’re indeed a man of your word. Since then, we have felt the difference in the security situation. Even though as humans we want more to be done, we can confidently say that you have resolved the challenge that brought us to you, and we are grateful.”
Accompanied by members of the Police Management Board, the IGP acknowledged the positive impact of the measures and assured the traders that the police were committed to ensuring their safety. Dr. Dampare stated, “Today we are here as your servants, and we want to visit you and commend you first on the hard work you’re doing for this country. We want to wish you Merry Christmas and, finally, we want to listen to you on all your security concerns.
