National Food Suppliers Association To Picket Over Unpaid Arrears

The National Food Suppliers Association (NAFSAG), is demanding unpaid arrears from the Ministry of Education within fourteen days or they will picket.

In a statement released on March 26, the Spokesperson, Kwaku Amedume cited lack of transparency in fund disbursement and favoritism towards select suppliers under the Ghana Commodity Exchange, raising suspicions of deliberate obstruction by the Ministry of Education.

“We no go sit down make them cheat us every day,” Amedume declared, reflecting the frustrations felt by many suppliers.

“We suspect a deliberate and unconscionable attempt by the Ministry of Education to frustrate the operational activities of the National Food Buffer Stock Company to the disadvantage and chagrin of the suppliers.”

The spokesperson, Kwaku Amedume, warns against continued mistreatment and emphasizes the need for fairness in the food supply chain.
