NDC Manhyia South Organiser Released on Bail

Alhassan Mustapha, the Constituency Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Manhyia South, has been granted bail by the police following charges related to his recent conduct.

Mustapha faces charges of Offensive Conduct conducive to a breach of peace and making threats of death, stemming from a viral video in which he made inflammatory remarks. Specifically, he challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and threatened violence in response to any attempted election manipulation by the party.

His remarks in the video sparked concerns over potential unrest in the area.

Following his arrest and subsequent charging, Mustapha was released on bail by the police pending further legal proceedings.

Augustus Nana Kwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, defended Mustapha’s statement after his release, asserting that there was no wrongdoing in the Constituency Organizer’s remarks.
