The community of Banvim in the Kakpagyili electoral area of the Northern Region is in turmoil following the alleged murder of two children.
Arafat and Ayaa, the victims, went missing on Saturday, June 22, 2024. They had informed their parents of their plans to visit a neighbor but never returned.
Despite efforts by community members to search the neighbor’s house, no trace of the children was found, leading to heightened tension among residents.
Alhaji Hafiz Andani, the assembly member for the Kakpagyili electoral area, reported that police investigations on Sunday uncovered the bodies of the children in an abandoned car behind the suspect’s house.
The bodies have been moved to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue.
