NPP presidential aspirants to sign peace pact ahead of Jan. 31 primaries

Presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are expected to sign a peace pact on January 22, 2026, as part of efforts to ensure a peaceful and orderly presidential primary scheduled for January 31.

The signing ceremony, organised by the NPP Presidential Elections Committee, will take place at the Asante Hall of the Alisa Hotel at 11:00 a.m. and will involve the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) committing aspirants to non-violence before, during, and after the primaries.

The party emphasised that the peace pact forms a key step in promoting discipline, tolerance, and unity among aspirants and their supporters ahead of the internal contest.
