K.T Hammond, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa, proudly asserts his political supremacy as the “undefeated, undisputed heavyweight champion” following a resounding victory in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primary on January 27. Hammond secured a commanding 311 votes, surpassing his opponent Samuel Binfoh Darkwa, who garnered 125 votes.
In a post-election address to journalists, the Trade and Industry Minister drew parallels with the late Mohammed Ali, proclaiming, “I am the undefeated, undisputed heavyweight champion of the politics of Adansi Asokwa.” Hammond confidently advised potential rivals to explore alternative avenues, underscoring his impervious status and invincibility except for divine intervention.
With a stern warning to aspiring contenders, Hammond declared, “People of Adansi Asokwa, KT Hammond is unbeatable, he is unstoppable. The only force that can defeat him is the Almighty Allah.” Earlier, Hammond accused Darkwah of orchestrating attacks on his supporters through hired thugs, further emphasizing the challenges faced in the electoral process.
