In a recent announcement, the Students Loan Trust Fund has welcomed its new Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Nuhu Bayorbo Mahama. The appointment was officially conveyed to Mr. Mahama in a letter dated January 2, 2024, by the Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.

The letter, referencing Section 13 (1) of the Students Loan Trust Fund Act, 2011 (Act 820), as amended, stated, “Pursuant to Section 13 (1) of the Students Loan Trust Fund Act, 2011 (Act 820), (as amended) I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the Chief Executive Officer of the Students Loan Trust Fund (the ‘Fund’) pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Board of the Fund, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.”
Mr. Nuhu Bayorbo Mahama’s wealth of experience and expertise is expected to contribute significantly to the continued success and effective operation of the Students Loan Trust Fund. The appointment reflects a commitment to ensuring the Fund’s mission of providing financial support to students pursuing higher education in Ghana.
