After 23 years of service in various parliamentary leadership roles, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu’s move is aimed at spearheading the NPP’s campaign efforts, aligning with the party’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the current deputy Majority Leader, is poised to succeed Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, a decision seen as strategic by the NPP given Afenyo-Markin’s youth and central region roots.
