The government orders 12 modern trains from Poland.

It is expected to be delivered from Poland by the middle of next month.

According to the Polish website “RK”, the first vehicle is now undergoing final tests at the Pesa facility in Bydgoszcz; the new diesel multiple unit might arrive in Ghana by the end of this month.

The framework contract with Ghanaian Railways involves 12 diesel multiple units, with the ordering party having the option of selecting 10 cars.

The vehicle is technically comparable to the RegioFox vehicles produced by Bydgoszcz for Czech Railways.

On Friday, January 19th, Deputy Information Minister Fatimatu Abubakar confirmed the news by sharing photographs of the trains on her social media channel.
