The collision occurred on Saturday morning near Guripe on the Sawla-Damongo Road.
This comes 24 hours after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo fired Barikisu Losina, along with 23 other Municipal and District Chief Executives, without explanation.
According to reports, the former DCE was driving to Tamale with her kid and the assembly’s driver at the time of the event.
Madam Losina is now being treated among the other passengers at St. Anne’s Hospital in Damongo.
The President, in a statement dated January 2, 2024, fired 24 Municipal and District Chief Executives with immediate effect.
In a similar declaration issued on January 3, 2024, President Akufo-Addo named 26 new Municipal and District Chief Executive Officers.
The President stated that his judgement was consistent with Article 243 (3) b of the Constitution and Section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act of 2014 (Act 936).
