The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has called on the people of the Northern region to support former President John Mahama by voting for him in the upcoming 2024 general elections. Kwetey emphasized the importance of making informed decisions during the elections and urged voters to prioritize candidates who genuinely care about their welfare, regardless of their location.
Mr. Kwetey made these remarks in Tamale during the second day of former President John Mahama’s ‘Building Ghana Tour’ of the Northern Region. He also encouraged party members to take pride in their affiliation with the NDC.
Addressing the crowd,the General Secretary praised Mahama as a genuine son of the Northern region and Ghana, highlighting his trustworthiness. He cited Mahama’s commitment to fixing the power crisis (dumsor) during his presidency as evidence of his trustworthiness.He urged the people to entrust their businesses, farms, and the destiny of Ghana to Mahama’s hands because he can be trusted.
However, Mr. Kwetey expressed doubts about another son from the region, suggesting that he cannot be trusted. He called on the people to ensure that the son who can be trusted, referring to Mahama, rises to the leadership of the country once again.
