The eagles will take on hosts Cotê d’Ivoire in Sunday’s final in Abidjan.
This is the second meeting between the two teams at this year’s edition. The first encounter saw Jose Peseiro’s men win 1-0.
While the Eagles go into the final as the only team yet to taste defeat, the Elephants have lost two games.
In a chat with West Ham defender Kurt Zouma, Omah Lay said the world will shake if Nigeria are crowned AFCON winners.
“It’s amazing, you can see how crazy the people are going and you can see how everybody is jumping around. It’s amazing to see,” he said in the video posted on Westham’s X handle.
“I’m hopeful that this is going to be the year for us, the world is going to shake because this means a lot.”
Omah Lay explained why he has not really been involved in football stuff.
Life on the road doesn’t give me a lot of time to be in the football vibe as much.
“But I know for sure that if we win this, it’s going to be huge.”
Meanwhile, in the third place playoff, South Africa edged DR Congo on penalties after 90 minutes ended 0-0.
It is South Africa’s first AFCON medal since winning bronze at the 2000 edition.
