Kenya: Trainer aircraft collides with passenger airliner mid-air, killing two.

According to the BBC, the aircraft belonged to a flying school and crashed in Nairobi National Park, killing two passengers.

The Safarilink passenger plane returned to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport after taking off with 44 people on board.
The airline reported that all 39 passengers and five crew members were uninjured.

The aircraft, destined for Diani on Kenya’s coast, “experienced a loud bang soon after take-off,” it stated.

The Cessna flown by Ninety-Nines Flying School crashed in the game park, about 10 kilometres (six miles) from the airport.

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) said that the accident occurred about 10:05 local time (07:05 GMT) on Tuesday.

Its air accidents section and police had launched an investigation into the reason of the accident, it added.

Wilson Airport is a tiny yet popular airport in the city, primarily serving domestic aircraft.
