Kasoa Accident: Comedian Funny Face Granted GHC 120,000 Bail

Ghanaian comedian Funny Face has been granted bail after being remanded into police custody on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. The Kasoa District Court granted him GHC120,000 bail with two sureties on Tuesday, April 9.

On Sunday, 24 March 2024, Funny Face was involved in an accident where he collided with three pedestrians crossing the Kasoa-Nyanyano Kakraba highway at the Kakraba Junction, resulting in severe injuries. Additionally, he crashed into two motorcycles, injuring the riders.

Although the initial hearing was conducted out of court, the popular comedian was denied bail and remanded for two weeks. Presently, two of the victims are undergoing treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, while two others are being cared for at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.

Funny Face is scheduled to reappear in court in four weeks.
