Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon, Rita Odoley Sowah, has awarded National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) certificates to beneficiaries at a brief ceremony at the La Bethel Presbyterian Church premises.
The ceremony was for 30 students out of about 200 who applied for the “Nyɛ Awo Kpakpa” Skill Training Project and took the opportunity to sit for the NVTI exams.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Rita Odoley Sowah urged beneficiaries to utilize the skills acquired and spread the opportunities given to them by the training to others in the community to make La Dade-Kotopon proud.
She also highlighted the need for men to join the skill training and, in return, introduce plumbing, among other courses, to reach out to more people.
Meanwhile, she emphasized the need for stakeholders to come on board to facilitate the project, as registrations for 2024 have reached 300. She mentioned that this will require more space, materials, resource persons, among others.
