Final Farewell for Wofa K.K Scheduled for April 27: Akufo-Addo and Bawumia to Attend

The final funeral rites for the late broadcast journalist, Martin Kwabena Kwakye, fondly known as ‘Wofa K.K,’ will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The ceremony will take place at the forecourt of the State House in Accra, Ghana.


According to the family, Wofa K.K’s remains will be laid to rest in Sekyere Kwaman, Ashanti Region, with the funeral proceedings continuing in the Ghanaian capital.

Expected attendees to bid farewell include President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice-President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare Osei, Ministers of State, and heads of agencies and state institutions.

A 12-hour mass requiem was held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the forecourt of Oman FM at Madina Zongo Junction in honor of the late broadcast journalist. The service, titled ‘Harmony in Remembrance of a Broadcast Legend – The Life and Legacies of Wofa K.K,’ was part of the activities marking the one-week observation of Wofa K.K’s passing.
