Police Arrest Hon. Collins Dauda; Pursue Others Over Kukuom Disturbances

The Ghana Police Service has apprehended the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Hon. Collins Dauda, over his alleged involvement in disturbances at Kukuom in the Ahafo region.

The incident occurred during the ongoing limited voter registration on Saturday, May 11.

In a Facebook post, the Police indicated that “one person sustained an injury and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.”

Meanwhile, the police are on the hunt for other suspects in connection to the incident.

The limited voter registration exercise began May 7 and is expected to end May 24, 2024. However, due to some challenges faced, the Electoral Commission has assured stakeholders that the exercise could be extended if there is a backlog of voters by the end of the deadline.
