NABCO Trainees Demand Removal of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars from Campaign Role

The Coalition of NABCO Trainees has expressed dismay over the appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars as the deputy presidential campaign manager for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Citing grievances including the non-payment of 9 months’ arrears and lack of communication regarding career pathway transitions, the coalition calls for Dr. Anyars’ removal from the campaign team. They warn against exploiting the NABCO scheme for political gain in the upcoming elections.

YOUR DEPUTY PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN MANAGER, DR IBRAHIM ANYARS IS NOT CREDIBLE. NABCO TRAINEES TO DR ALHAJI MAHAMUDU BAWUMIA

The Coalition of NABCO Trainees is utterly amazed at the courage of the Vice President to appoint the incompetent Dr Ibrahim Anyars, the NABCO CEO, as his deputy presidential campaign manager.

The appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, the NABCO CEO as deputy presidential campaign manager for the New Patriotic Party, is a clear indication that the Vice President does not have the vulnerable youth, particularly disappointed NABCO trainees at heart on the factual grounds that;

1. Dr Ibrahim Anyars has failed woefully to respond to our official petitions submitted to his outfit for the payment of 9 months of NABCO arrears after the expiration of the contractual agreement in September 2022

2. That notwithstanding, the same Dr Ibrahim Anyars has failed to honour the invitations of the media to explain publicly what has necessitated the delays of NABCO arrears and the development of the implementation of the Career Pathway Transition Process which was eagerly launched to usher Nabco trainees into the permanent mainstream jobs after the one-year additional contract expired.

3. The insensitive posture of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has subjected vulnerable NABCO Trainees to extreme anger, hunger and deprivation. We have been crippled and left penniless and highly indebted. Our dignity has been trampled upon and our honour, fed to dogs.

We all attest to the current galloping inflation and incessant price increment of goods and services under the tenure of President Akufo Addo and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. Do we query ourselves how NABCO Trainees are surviving in their unemployed state when Dr Ibrahim Anyars refused to add his influential voice for the government to release funds to pay NABCO arrears?

Interestingly, these days, the government does not tout NABCO as an achievement due to the embarrassing fact of unpaid 9-month arrears.

We want to caution His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to immediately withdraw Dr. Ibrahim Anyars from his team if his appointment as the deputy presidential campaign manager is meant to capitalize on the flipped-flopped NABCO scheme to further deceive and hoodwink unemployed youth to vote for him. Enfa!

Again, the coalition is going to intercept any partisan utterances, and signages, that will leverage the failed NABCO scheme in an attempt to win votes in the 2024 general elections.

Signed,
Frank Evans Quansah, National Secretary.
