In justifying his move as an errand boy for the imperialists, President Ruto of Kenya evoked PanAfricanism.
He claimed that Haiti has suffered under slavery and colonialism and therefore as our African Brothers, we must help them. What President Ruto doesn’t tell us is who carried out the slavery, colonialism, and neocolonialism and, who has been interfering in Haiti’s management of its affairs.
What President Ruto doesn’t take time to tell us is who kidnapped President Aristide Bertrand from Haiti, a democratically elected president who was improving the lives of the people in Haiti.
What President Ruto doesn’t tell us is who orchestrated the assassination of President Jovenel Moise and the installation of Ariel Henry with whom President Ruto briefly worked in advancing this sinister scheme and would later be rejected and blocked by the Haitian people from coming back to Haiti after his last visit to Kenya.
The Haitian people understand their enemies very well and therefore they succeeded in blocking him from coming back to Haiti.
Perhaps President Ruto would do well to tell us who his partners are in this scheme, if he allowed us, it would do us justice to mention to him that it is the United States that has been interfering in Haiti with its imperialist partners Canada and France; invading and stealing Gold from the Haitian central bank, and it is the UN which has been deliberately infecting and killing thousands of Haitian people with deadly diseases like Ebola which killed over 10,000 people in the country.
President Ruto, in appreciation of his selling out of the Pan-African ideals, received a warm and celebrated welcome in Washington.
It has become Washington’s habit to cultivate individuals among new entrants on the African presidential scene, here Washington seeks to achieve 2 things; for it not to look like it is hobnobbing with dictators who overstay in power on the continent, and also to avoid those heads of state who are very aware of its imperialist approach and therefore would not accept to do its bidding.
In this case, Washington spent time cultivating Ruto with the incessant visits of its officials to Nairobi, from Mike Hammer the US representative to the Horn of Africa, the US First Lady Jill Biden to the AFRICOM commander Gen. Michael Langley, and others.
Ruto arrived on the scene with some Pan-African de-dollarisation mantra which he would later take to the Djibouti Parliament whose country hosts the biggest US military base in Africa, as well as the Pan-African Parliament in South Africa momentarily to the celebration of many who looked at him as a new breed of Pan-African Leader many have long waited for to defend the continent. This was not to last as Washington succeeded in its assault leading to Ruto making a U-turn from Pan-Africanism to an Imperialist errand boy.
The lesson is clear, the political scene in Africa has been captured by imperialism since 1966 with the CIA-sponsored overthrow of Dr.Kwame Nkrumah, therefore a new movement to overwhelm this evil imperialist neocolonial system must be built to crush and replace these capturing colonialists.
