The Presidency has provided insights into the dismissal of Dr. John Ofori-Tenkorang from his role as the Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). In a statement released on Saturday, April 13, Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, emphasized that Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang’s dismissal did not stem from any misconduct or malfeasance.
President Akufo-Addo formally terminated Dr. Ofori Tenkorang’s tenure on Monday, April 8, directing him to transfer his responsibilities to Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo by Monday, April 15.
Dispelling rumors alleging misconduct as the cause of his dismissal, the Presidency asserts that Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang’s departure aligns with the ongoing restructuring efforts initiated by President Akufo-Addo.
