Ghana Police Service Detains Hopeson Adorye Over False Allegations

Former NPP member and a prominent figure of the Movement for Change, Hopeson Adorye, has been arrested following his self-confession that he detonated dynamite in the Volta Region during the 2016 elections.

The Ghana Police Service picked him up early today morning, and his current whereabouts remain unknown to his family and friends.

According to Onlinetimesgh.com sources, Adorye was initially taken to the Police Headquarters, then to Accra Central Police Station, and is now being held at the Ministry Police Station.

The police have denied Adorye bail since his arrest, and the reasons behind his detention are still unclear. However, it is reported that he has been arrested over false allegations, though the specific details are yet to be confirmed.

The situation has raised concerns among Adorye’s supporters and the general public, who are calling for transparency and the immediate release of the detained individual. The Ghana Police Service is yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
